WSP plans, analyses, designs, project manages, supervises and maintains communications and technology systems (and associated infrastructure) projects of all sizes. In 2005 we delivered the award winning Eastern Regional Control Centre which allowed the Highways Agency to realise their network operator role. The project drew upon all WSP’s core skills from building design to technology fit-out and commissioning. The resulting service uses modern technology to both control and monitor on road resources on England’s motorway network. In addition to the provision of new control centres we also operate an award-winning Property and Facilities Help Desk for the Royal Mail Group.
Our core services include the delivery of commercial data centres and technology systems and associated infrastructure at every stage of the project life-cycle from concept/feasibility through to operation. Our core skills allow us to provide such services on fixed and wireless communication, security, traffic management systems, CCTV, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) systems and control and instrumentation systems projects. We are also justifiably proud of our experts in ITS who provide an added dimension to the concept and feasibility stages of our projects.
We are leading data centre designers for banks, insurers and technology companies. We provide integrated offerings based on a diverse set of component skills including energy supplies and electrical distribution systems, air conditioning, heating and ventilation, air filtration, and environmental control. A key aspect of data centre design is resilience and reliability and we have a dedicated, leading edge Critical Power Systems team.
In addition to our core engineering services, our service offerings include, but are not limited to strategic procurement advice, value and risk management, contract management, systems specification and knowledge based asset management .
